Hammond Planetarium Featured on WHFR Journal, April 14, at 1pm

If you like things that are "out of this world", then tune in to the WHFR Journal this Friday, April 14 at 1pm for a discussion with HFC Faculty member and Director of the HFC Hammond Planetarium Jesse Mason. Jesse will share details about the latest FREE spring planetarium show right here in Dearborn (as well as an EXCLUSIVE invitation for our WHFR listeners). He'll also discuss the current night sky and all its features, ways to learn more about astronomy, and an upcoming solar eclipse that you won't want to miss! 2023_MAB_LisaCongratulations to longtime WHFR DJ Lisa Fakir, known on-air as Da' Diva, who was awarded first place at the recent Michigan Association of Broadcasters Great Lakes Media Show last week. Lisa won in the category of best show promo for her show Lyrical Infusion in the college broadcasting category. The show airs on Saturdays, from 5pm-8pm, on WHFR and features jazz, world, and blues music.

Our guest today is T.J. Ryan. T.J. is the host of the podcast “Out There”, where he interviews psychics, mediums, UFO witnesses and all things paranormal. He has had UAP sightings since childhood but, more recently, in May of 2022, T.J. had another kind of sighting that raised my interest: he witnessed a passenger plane that appeared to be frozen in midair at a comparatively close proximity. Optical illusion? Perhaps. But that wouldn’t answer the question as to why there was no sound associated with the event or why so many others have had similar experiences around the world.

Local Artist-Keyboardist Demetrius Nabors to visit The Play It By Ear Show

On Sunday, February 12th, pianist/composer/arranger/producer from Detroit, Demetrius Nabors, will join host Terence Tyson for conversation to discuss his CD titled "Evolution" and his upcoming performance in Ann Arbor later in the week.
He is a two-time Detroit Music Award Winner in the Outstanding Gospel/Christian Musician Category. Be sure to tune in Sunday, February 12th from 10am – 1pm.
