Kathleen Marden is coauthor with Stanton Friedman of "Captured," which chronicles the Betty and Barney Hill abduction (by aliens) case in 1961. Marden is Betty and Barney Hill's niece, so her knowledge of the case is first hand. She began her professional career as a social worker and eventually entered the field of education as a teacher. In 2003, MUFON publicly recognized Kathy for her most outstanding contribution of advancing the scientific study of the UFO phenomenon by dedicating the annual MUFON International UFO Proceedings to her.
