The Government and Area 51 on "Theme Attic," Wednesday, October 2, from 10AM-Noon!

The federal government is currently shut down, but even when it's working, it sometimes takes decades before the public finds out about something. In July of this year, it was finally admitted that there is an official Area 51. So "Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, will play a few songs about the government, and then examine some of the quirky music about extraterrestrial life. Butch Witkowski joins host David Twichell in this installment of We Are Not Alone. Mr. Witkowski has a background in law enforcement, mainly homicide. He is a Former Chief Investigator and State Section Director for MUFON of Pennsylvania. Today, he is Director of the UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania, a group of professionals who have organized to perform in-depth investigations of UFO and abduction phenomena including startling reports of human mutilations, which mirror the evidence found at the scenes of cattle mutilation.

The "International Day of Peace" is this Saturday, September 21, and "Talk Like a Pirate Day" is on Thursday, September 19. So why not combine the two? "Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, will play songs about peace, as well as some select tunes about pirates. Yoga is the topic for "Metaphysically Speaking" Tuesday 9/17/13 @ 1p.m.

Yoga Instructor Jessica Hillman from Yoga 4 Peace is the next guest on "Metaphysically Speaking". An Evening of Experimental Sounds: A WHFR Benefit at Trinosophes Saturday September 21, 2013 8pm

WHFR is excited to have our latest fundraising concert at Trinosophes in Detroit. This evening of experimental sounds will feature performances from local shoegazer/indie band CRUISE ITALY, local experimental group ARTHUR CROW, and Madison, WI Casio-pop artist STEPHANIE REARICK JR. This event has a suggested donation of $7 at the door BUT has a sliding scale of $5-$10. Doors open at 8 and music should start by 8:45.
