WHFR Radio and Tom Wilson host of "Space is the Place" (Fridays, 6-8pm) are PROUD to bring you a special 6 HOUR broadcast-birthday tribute in honor of the late Dr. Robert Moog (May 23, 1934-August 21, 2005). Moog was an electronic music pioneer and inventor of synthesizers that changed the course of popular music. This special event will be broadcast live as part of the "Space is the Place" program FRI. Melvin Davis on "Motor Live Drive @ 5" -- 5pm Thursday, May 13

Hear a very special performance this Thursday on "Motor Live Drive @ 5" when Northern Soul artist Melvin Davis joins Mr. White and Margaret. Melvin is backed by the rock historians and hard rockin' band "Party Stompers."

Melvin was an original Fortune Record artist and a Motown session musician at from 1961-1970.

Although he's done only a handful of shows in Detroit in the past 40 years, Melvin fills concert halls in Europe! He's performing locally this Saturday; then heading to New York and Europe for an international tour.

Mick Bassett and the Marthas on "Motor" -- 5pm Thursday, May 6

Join Mr. White and Margaret as they welcome back Mick Bassett and the Marthas to tomorrow's "Motor Live Drive at 5".

Mick's bringing the full band -- including two trombones! -- in anticipation of a cd release party Thursday, May 13 at The Loving Touch Pool Hall in Ferndale (248-546-3644).

Since last appearing on "Motor" in November 2007, Mick has been working with the Jason Stollsteiner group "The Hounds Below."

Jaime Maussan joins host David Twichell on the next installment of "We Are Not Alone."

The award-winning journalist and investigative reporter hosts the television show, "The Third Millennium" and directs Mexico's version of "60 Minutes". Often called "the Dan Rather of Mexico," Mr. Maussan is internationally known as one of the most respected UFO investigators. He has compiled over 5,000 videos and photographs of anomalous objects and has presented this information around the world.

Tracy is the 2009 Michigan Music Awards winner for best jazz vocalist and she will be sharing music on Thursday at 5pm from her latest CD that is due out this weekend.
