"Theme Attic" gets "lonesome" this week, Thursday, 10AM-Noon, February 2nd!

As the calendar moves into February, many people in relationships start to focus on Valentine's Day. "Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, looks at the other side of love this week. A word about last weeks Motor, We had a cancellation and we put it out on facebook on Wednesday and nothing panned out. Then on Thursday morning we got a call from funk percussionist Gabe Gonzalez and within hours we had a show with an amazing vocalist Tasha Owens, guitarist Mike Smith, and bassist Darryl Lee. They each brought a sample of projects they were working, which we played during the show and they played live in studio. It was so by the seat of pants yet turned out great. I hope your able to listen to the podcast and see what people can do when they work together.

Monday FORUM, 1-16-12: "Martin Luther King's Path to Nonviolence" (Peace Talks Radio)

Two women with very close ties to Martin Luther King Jr. reflect on how King developed into one of the great moral and political philosophers of the 20th century and how his philosophies might still guide the world through troubled times today. Dr. Dorothy Cotton was the highest ranking female in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, founded by Dr. King. From 1960 to 1972 Dr. Cotton was the educational director for SCLC and worked very closely with Dr. King. The late Yolanda King was the eldest daughter of Dr. King.

WHFR Journal, 1-13-12, 1-2 PM: Interview with author Richard Greener

Richard Greener is the author of a series of fiction novels whose central figure is Walter Sherman, a.k.a. The Locator, now a new FOX-TV series: "The Finder," Thursdays 9-10 PM. We'll ask him about his writing career and how Hart Hanson, creator and executive producer of FOX's "Bones," got involved to also produce this TV series. However, an equally important story is Mr. Greener's struggle with heart problems for several decades and how he received amazing support and encouragement from many famous people, as well as his wife, of course (and many doctors and hospitals).
