"Jill Jack" special guest on Acoustic Alternatives--Sunday, 10am-1pm, January 2nd

Jill’s career is firmly founded on that deep abiding current of empathy and excitement between her and the audience, the warmth and generosity that flows both ways during a show. Her genre-blending style of folk, rock, country, Americana and just plain good songwriting reaches out and connects wherever she goes. Jill has also worked with the burgeoning Michigan film scene both as an actor and as a soundtrack contributor. But Jill’s strength has always been her live shows and the connection with her audience.Coming off a great ride with her national release of Moon and the Morning After (2006 UpHill Productions), Jill has released her seventh collection of songs, Songwriter Sessions. Recorded live and directed by award-winning Nashville producer Colin Linden, the record is packaged with a full-length DVD of the event.

Performances Highlights: 31st Ann Arbor Folk Festival, sharing the stage with Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Grffin, Buddy Miller and more. Meadowbrook Theater opening for Lorretta Lynn. Headlining the WYCD Downtown Hoedown (the world's largest free country music event) as Budweiser's Artist of Choice, Blissfest Music Festival (one of the largest folk music festivals in the Midwest), opening for numerous National Acts at DTE Engery Music Theatre (Detroit), as well as performances at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, The Ark in Ann Arbor, and The Living Room in NYC.
