Electric Lion Soundwave Experiment. ORIGINAL, authentic heavy shoegazer, noise. If you must get away from anything that resembles the TOP 400, you need to seriously tune in to this Motor City amalgamation. They're not trying to emulate anyone, they care only to go into the uncharted depths with no light but that which their ki create. This is one of the most challenging bands Motor has ever hosted. And this podcast will live on as the archive that it actually happened; this is no urban myth. This is why Motor Live Drive @ 5 thrives- Electric Lion Soundwave Experiment.

This was LONG overdue, but well worth the wait! case managerz, cm3 and cm84, just came in here and rocked the house off the FOUNDATION. Oh these guys delivered. We're not talking about just scratching turntables, not that there's anything wrong with that by any means. They brought some classic analog synths no one has seen since the 1980s in here, along with their laptop, and just ripped it. I mean they could have given The Gorillaz lessons they were getting off so hard.

Featuring music from their EP Five Pound Snap, we highly recommend you check out their Facebook, or http://fivepoundsnap.bandcamp.com. But best of all, keep tuning in to Motor Live Drive @ 5, to keep getting jams like these, and we'll keep bringing 'em to ya!

Bill Gerazounis and Alex Karasinski brought PHENOMENAL talent into WHFR February 26. As The Static Dial these two do things with guitars that can be fairly compared to Steve Vai or Billy Sheehan. But the beauty is- they put the songs first. Be it alternative, hard-rock, or something soulful, they will put just that into it. And you'll hear it in this acoustic set. Download The Static Dial as they shared both their early releases and their latest, Audio Nomad. Learn why you should see them live. And why you should keep tuning into The Motor Live Drive @ 5 on WHFR at 89.3FM.

Valley Hush are the very embodiment of ethereal, atmospheric, and experimental. But best of all, they just sound great! The core of the band, vocalist/songwriter Lianna Vanicelli, and multi-instumentalist/producer Alex Kaye, warm this mid-February offering with thoughtful prose and haunting rhythms that just might make you wistful, just might make you dance. Should make you glad you tuned in to Motor Live Drive @ 5.
